with us.

بدايــة كل حكايــة — وربما حكايتك أنت

Cann Studio is an Omani animation and media production house creating 3D animated features built to international platform and theatrical standards. As our international slate expands, we're opening three senior positions at our Muscat headquarters.

Open Positions

Three senior roles.
One ambitious slate.

Every role works directly on productions delivered to international partners in Europe and North America — with regular sessions in Amsterdam.

Animation Production · International Delivery

Project Manager

Annual Contract On-site — Muscat International Travel 10+ Years

You own end-to-end delivery of Cann Studio's animated productions — built to the standards of international streaming platforms and theatrical distribution. You are the operational bridge between our Muscat creative teams and our international co-production partners, translating creative ambition into schedules, budgets, and deliverables that pass technical QC the first time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full production lifecycle management — development through delivery — across concurrent 3D animation projects.
  • Build and maintain master schedules, resource plans, and budgets; flag variances to leadership before they become risks.
  • Primary operational contact for international partners, distributors, and clients: delivery specs, technical QC, localization pipelines, milestone approvals.
  • Coordinate distributed teams and vendors across time zones (Muscat, Europe, North America), including on-site sessions in Amsterdam.
  • Own delivery documentation: materials lists, technical delivery packages, chain-of-title support, archival masters.
  • Enforce production-tracking discipline (ShotGrid/Flow, ftrack) with clear leadership dashboards.
  • Anticipate and resolve pipeline bottlenecks with the Art Director, CG Supervisor, and department leads.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor/outsourcing contracts — quality, content security, on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in animation production, with 4+ years in a project management or line-producer capacity on 3D animated content.
  • Verifiable credits on projects released via major international streaming platforms or theatrical distribution — priority criterion.
  • Deep knowledge of 3D pipelines and international delivery specifications (IMF, HDR/immersive-audio a plus).
  • Professional-level English; confident presenting to senior international stakeholders.
  • Proven budget stewardship at significant scale; strong contract and vendor-management literacy.
  • Able to travel internationally on short notice; valid Schengen and/or US visa a strong advantage.
  • Based in (or relocating to) Muscat for the full contract term.

Visual Development · 3D Feature Animation

Art Director

Annual Contract On-site — Muscat International Travel 10+ Years

You define and safeguard the visual identity of Cann Studio's feature and series productions — from first concept sketch to final rendered frame. Working directly with the Creative Director and the film's Director, you lead visual development, set the artistic bar for every department, and ensure what reaches international audiences carries a distinctive, world-class visual signature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the production's visual language: style guides, color scripts, lighting keys, character/environment design direction, composition philosophy.
  • Lead and mentor the visual development team with daily draw-overs, paint-overs, and actionable feedback.
  • Translate the Director's vision into executable artistic briefs; review dailies and approve assets against the style bible.
  • Ensure visual continuity across in-house teams and international outsource partners, including on-site art reviews in Amsterdam.
  • Balance artistic ambition against pipeline and render realities with the CG Supervisor — without compromising the visual target.
  • Prepare look-development materials for greenlight reviews, festivals, and market presentations.
  • Build reference libraries and cultural-authenticity research for productions drawing on regional heritage.
  • Contribute to marketing key art: posters, trailer frames, distribution artwork specifications.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in animation, with significant experience as Art Director or Lead Visual Development Artist on 3D features or premium series.
  • Verifiable credits on titles released on major international platforms or in cinemas — priority criterion. A portfolio demonstrating ownership of a production's look is mandatory.
  • Mastery of visual fundamentals and fluency in the 3D pipeline sufficient to direct every visual department.
  • Expert-level skill in industry tools: Photoshop, Procreate, Blender/Maya paint-overs; Substance a plus.
  • Professional-level English; able to lead art reviews with international partners.
  • Proven team leadership: portfolio reviews, hiring input, mentorship, department scaling.
  • Able to travel internationally on short notice; valid Schengen and/or US visa a strong advantage.
  • Based in (or relocating to) Muscat for the full contract term.
Apply — Art Director Portfolio / credit reel is mandatory for this role
International 3D Pipeline · Production Office

Senior Production Coordinator

Annual Contract On-site — Muscat International Travel 10+ Years

You are the operational backbone of the production office on an internationally distributed 3D pipeline: keeping schedules honest, information flowing, review sessions running, and international logistics frictionless — so the Project Manager and creative leadership can stay focused on delivery. A senior coordination role requiring deep, hands-on familiarity with every stage of a 3D production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day production tracking: shot status, asset status, task assignments, department progress in ShotGrid/Flow, ftrack, or equivalent.
  • Prepare, distribute, and archive production documentation in professional English for international stakeholders.
  • Run the dailies/review machinery: cross-time-zone scheduling, media prep (SyncSketch/cineSync), accurate notes, follow-through on action items.
  • Coordinate international logistics: travel bookings, Amsterdam session arrangements, shipments, partner-studio visits.
  • Liaise between Muscat departments and overseas partners; escalate blockers to the Project Manager promptly.
  • Manage secure file transfer and versioning discipline per partners' content-security requirements.
  • Support onboarding of artists and vendors: accounts, pipeline access, documentation packs, NDA coordination.
  • Assist with delivery packaging and QC checklists during milestone and final delivery phases.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of production-office experience in animation, with direct exposure to full 3D pipelines from asset build to final delivery.
  • Experience supporting productions released on international platforms or theatrically — priority criterion.
  • Fluent, professional written and spoken English — your documents circulate to international executives without editing.
  • Advanced command of production-tracking tools, review platforms, office suites; comfort with media formats and transfer protocols.
  • Exceptional organization, discretion with confidential material, calm under deadline pressure across time zones.
  • Able to travel internationally on short notice; valid Schengen and/or US visa a strong advantage.
  • Based in (or relocating to) Muscat for the full contract term.

International travel & visas

These roles involve regular participation in overseas production sessions and reviews. Candidates who already hold a valid Schengen and/or US visa will be given strong preference, as immediate travel capability is operationally critical. Candidates without these visas must have a travel and immigration profile allowing visa issuance without undue delay; Cann Studio provides invitation letters and supporting documentation for business-visa applications. Your visa status is captured in the application form below.

Priority consideration

Priority at every stage of selection goes to applicants whose credits include productions released on major international streaming platforms (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+) or distributed theatrically. List these credits at the top of your CV — project title, platform or distributor, year, and your exact role. Credits are subject to verification.

Production model

Cann Studio's slate is developed and produced to international co-production and distribution standards, with review and delivery cycles involving partners in Europe and North America. All three roles participate directly in overseas sessions, markets, and partner-studio reviews; travel readiness is a contractual condition, not a preference.
